TEN WAYS TO EMPOWER YOURSELF

During these tumultuous times, I did not want to talk about fall and winter fashions. It seems we have much more on our minds than the newest trends. I find myself striving to keep up the momentum though I always feel behind. Do you often feel the same way? I am learning to take a few minutes each day to acknowledge my accomplishments big and small. Doing this one simple thing daily has been empowering and helped me to stay focused on what is important and what is not!

To help you have the same focus during these times here are 10 things to help remind yourself “that you got this!” and you are empowered:

  1. Keeping a smile on your face even though your world may be falling apart. Smiles are contagious! They make a difference and communicate a positive attitude, even on Zoom.
  2. Showing up beautifully dressed in a complete outfit for networking events and Zoom calls. Your image speaks volumes about you before you utter a word.
  3. Wearing a mask in public places as a safety precaution to protect others even though they are uncomfortable.
  4. Keeping your composure when you are constantly interrupted by children, pets, spouse, and calls. You still manage to complete tasks.
  5. Working in a makeshift home office. You are being productive in a nook or cranny that you transformed into your workspace.
  6. Practicing self-care like your life depends on it because it does! When you take time to revitalize and nurture yourself, you are at your best to serve others and maintain momentum.
  7. Juggling multiple hats daily: mother, spouse, businesswoman, daughter, teacher, chef etc.
  8. Realizing less is more in many areas of your life. As it pertains to fashion, fewer quality garments create a business presence.
  9. Cleaning and decluttering your life, including your closet to make getting ready for any occasion a breeze.
  10. Celebrate your successes, no matter how large or small.
